Initiative in Christian Education (ICE)

During the months of April and May Whimple Church particularly supports the work of Exeter Initiative in Christian Education (“ICE”). 

ICE is a voluntary body, supported by local churches, which demonstrates the love of Christ to school age young people.  It does this by providing schools workers to be reliable friends and positive role models, and offer Christian input to the education system for example by running lunchtime and after school clubs, assemblies and RE lessons. 

Whimple Church is linked with Clyst Vale school, and particularly through Kate Hamilton’s practical involvement in the work of ICE at the school, we hope to establish a meaningful link.  If anyone else is interested in being involved this valuable work, please let Kate know.
